Combat System
Turn Order
Combat in Last Asylum uses a speed-based turn system:
- Characters with higher Speed act first
- Some skills can manipulate turn order
- Boss phases may interrupt normal turn order
Damage Calculation
Final Damage = (Base ATK × Skill Multiplier × Crit Modifier) - Enemy DEF
Key factors:
- Attack (ATK) - Base damage stat
- Skill Multiplier - Each skill has different power
- Critical Rate - Chance to deal bonus damage
- Critical Damage - Multiplier when critting (usually 150-200%)
- Defense (DEF) - Reduces incoming damage
Status Effects
| Effect | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Burn | 2-3 turns | Damage over time (ignores DEF) |
| Freeze | 1-2 turns | Skip turn, take extra damage |
| Poison | 3 turns | % HP damage each turn |
| Stun | 1 turn | Cannot act |
| Buff Block | 2 turns | Cannot receive buffs |
Character Stats
Primary Stats
- HP - Health points, survive more damage
- ATK - Attack power for damage dealers
- DEF - Reduces damage taken
- SPD - Determines turn order
Secondary Stats
- Crit Rate - Chance to critical hit
- Crit Damage - Bonus damage on crit
- Effectiveness - Land debuffs more reliably
- Resistance - Avoid enemy debuffs

Standard Rates

- ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Epic: 5%
- ⭐⭐⭐ Rare: 20%
- ⭐⭐ Common: 74%
Pity System
- Soft pity starts at 70 pulls
- Hard pity guarantees at 90 pulls
- Pity carries over between banners (usually)
Energy System
Energy regenerates over time:
- 1 Energy every 5 minutes
- Maximum cap of 120-150 energy
- Overflow allowed from mail/rewards
Efficiency Tip
Use your energy before hitting the cap to avoid wasting natural regeneration!
